Australia Weather
Australia holidays tend to be more expensive in during the months of November through to March, which are the summer months in Australia with the warmest weather. It's worth noting that Sydney has mild winters and even in July (mid winter), the temperatures can be warm with good weather. Cairns is sub-tropical, so it's always warm and humid whatever the time of year. Same goes for Perth, with only Melbourne and Tasmania having colder, wetter winters.
New Zealand Weather
It's best to take New Zealand holidays avoiding the mid-winter months (June, July and August) as the winters in the South island can be cool particular at higher elevations. We travelled in January / February and had great weather even in the South Island of New Zealand.
