Short Breaks to Jersey

Jersey in the UK Channel Islands is a scenic island just off the coast of northern France, making it just an hour's flight from London. Jersey Channel Island holidays are both relaxing and rewarding and the island offers some of the UK's best beaches and the warmest summer temperatures.

If possible, we recommend taking your Jersey holiday or short break in May or June before the UK school holidays, when it is less crowded. There are regular flights to the Channel islands from the UK mainland (taking about 45 minutes) to Jersey from most major airports by Flybe or British Airways.

We stayed at the Hotel Christina which had magnificent views over St. Aubin's bay, Jersey and offered good levels of accommodation and friendly service. The only criticism being dinner at the Christina, which was rather expensive and the portions were small.

Jersey is famous for its fantastic beaches and gardens particularly on the south coast around St. Aubin. The pictures on this page were taken in the St. Aubin area.

The Channel Islands climate is appealing too, it's the sunniest place in the United Kingdom and that's official! The weather is usually warm from mid May through to mid September.

One of Jersey's other attractions is the cuisine! It has a French influence and many of the restaurants have attractive outdoor dining tables with great food, atmosphere and charm. Prices are reasonable too and it has much appeal as a tax free Island! So why not do some tax free Jersey shopping whilst on holiday, to avoid paying UK VAT!

The North Coast of Jersey has fantastic scenery and offers great views of Guernsey to the North and the French coast to the East.
